Background

Although there are many projectors on the market, the customer learned that a dedicated projector for businessman is still a gap. The customer came to LKKER SCM with the expectation to develop a projector that matches the style of businessman and is easy to carry. In the end, HOYOTOP teamed up with LKKER SCM and delivered a business projector that can boot in three seconds and go in sleep mode with one key.

Conducted in-depth analysis of the characteristics of businessman and came up with an effective product design concept via product strategy. Located the biggest pain point of the product through research and analysis of the system; made the projector as compact and practical as possible with the existing hardware parts. Carried out the exterior style design, taking into account the projector’s brand attributes, industry attributes, and later maintenance and adjustment.

2.In the 19th century, the famous American architect Louis Sullivan once said that “function is not only technology, but also the embodiment of emotions”. Good design doesn’t require the users to think about how to operate. The user-friendly simple keys let you appreciate minimalist design and extraordinary experience. The 90-degree rotatable lens mount can be used to shield the lens when not in use or as a stand when in use.

3.The boss key is enlarged and placed on the front of the product to solve the problem of efficient office work. It also allows the power-saving sleep mode with one key.

Achievements

The business projector developed by LKKER SCM team for HOYOTOP has been put on the market and raised significant amount of funds in JD Equity Crowdfunding platform. The 90-degree rotatable support frame is an unconventional design point in the industry, and it is also well received by users.

Commissioned by Hisense to develop a hotel self-service terminal, LKKER SCM started with environmental research and detailed analysis of ergonomics and finally delivered a hotel self-service terminal with a new aesthetic image while meeting high-end needs and providing a pleasing user experience.

Solutions & Goal

1.LKKER SCM has helped Hisense deliver a brand new product image that stands out of the generally tiresome and stereotyped self-service terminal products and fits the high-end hotel environment. The classic wood grain, the non-conventional shape design and the elegant coloring make it a conventional breakthrough and a “Prince Charming” in terminal products.

2.One-piece design increases efficiency and reduces costs. The integrated shape and the modular design of the body ensures easy disassembly and assembly and reduces the cost and difficulty of maintenance.

3.The ergonomic design improves the service efficiency by assisting the guests in self-check-in procedures, room selection, payment, receipt printing, mobile payment and other functions and simplifying the operations required in every step. The location design of each function is made with comprehensive consideration. The details, including the keyboard angle, have been verified many times by ergonomics to ensure perfect user experience.

The terminal product developed by LKKER SCM for Hisense has established significant advantages for Hisense in the commercial field. The design team successfully delivered a very forward-looking product for Hisense by placing emphasis on both wholeness and details. At the 18th Retail Asia Expo, this product attracted many visitors. With the help of LKKER SCM team, Hisense takes the forefront in the commercial industry.

Project Background:

Muscle soreness and joint stiffness are inevitable after remaining in the same posture for a long time or repeated actions, one may get hand cramps after using the mouse for a long time. If we want to design a true comfortable mouse in the market, we have to create a mouse with different using ways rather than focus on the shape of mouse only.

Highlights and Solutions of Project:

1. Project management team found out the sense of damping of thumb wheel is not strong enough. How to strengthen the sense of damping while to achieve the feasibility of mass production? We decided to add another special leather between thumb wheel and slider for enhancing users experience.

2. Air mouse with foldable function that cause the flexible winding which connects the PCBA in two sides of mouse is easy to broke. How to solve this problem? We have changed the material of flexible winding from FDC into customized FPC for increasing the service life of air mouse.

Project Information:

Air Mouse – a foldable multi-functional controller integrating mouse and wireless presenter with laser pointer. Users can switch to the air operation mode by folding. The product is preferable for business travelers, comes with various functions like inductive touch roller, electronic pointer PPT flip pen, plug-in hard disk, mobile phone USB, lithium battery charging and other optional features.

At present, most of the similar products used to measure the dimensions of the house in home decoration on the market focus only on engineering and tooling and are lack of smart elements. In this regard, Ape Crafts sought cooperation with us to develop a distinctive smart measurement product, which is not only a tool, but also a fashion, portable, easy-to-use and intelligent product that can be used like a mobile phone.

Ape Crafts smart ruler is the world’s smallest laser ranging, with an accuracy of 1.5mm and capable of measuring within 60m. It has nine built-in measurement modes and can be widely used in any occasion. With a total length of 80 mm and a gross weight of 50g, its lightness is beyond imagination and is very convenient to carry. The ruler is designed with a 1.5-inch screen and 7 forms of measurement. After repeated deliberation, modifications, and redefinitions, we succeeded to compress the bulky hardware into the size of a lighter and came up with a streamlined, easy-to-use design to meet the needs of both professional and non-professionals. Ape Crafts “Smart Ruler” launched a crowdfunding campaign at JD Equity Crowdfunding platform on April 7, 2016.
