1. Project background

Jiangxi Hongdu Machinery Manufacturing Co., LTD., a company with deep accumulation in the field of agricultural machinery, decided to develop a new type of weeder in order to adapt to the changing market demand and improve product competitiveness. In the process of looking for a partner, LKK Design, with its excellent design strength and research and development experience, successfully obtained this project.

 

2. Product design

User needs research: Before the project begins, the Design team at LKK Design has an in-depth understanding of the needs and expectations of the users. Through market research and user interviews, they conduct a comprehensive analysis and summary of the needs of users. Considering the actual needs and expectations of users, the design team focused on efficient weeding, ease of operation, comfortable experience and environmental performance.

Innovative Design: Based on user requirements and the results of market research, the design team of LKK Design came up with an innovative design solution. The scheme not only meets the basic needs of users, but also introduces some new functions and design elements to make the weeder more intelligent and efficient. By introducing advanced science and technology and innovative design concepts, they optimize the structure and use experience of the weeder. Hyperboloid mech wind modeling, high cost, difficult to achieve. Designers through three-dimensional software simulation in the early stage, the later several proofing and debugging, to provide customers with a low cost of streamlined hyperboloid mech wind modeling, design innovation to promote the commercial transformation of products.
Humanized Design: Manual mowing environment is harsh, labor intensity is high, in order to improve the user experience, LKK Design pays attention to the optimization of human-computer interaction in the design. They optimize the operation interface, simplify the operation process, provide intelligent tips and guidance, etc., so that users can be more convenient and fast to use the weed mower. At the same time, they also pay attention to the user’s comfortable experience, from the driver’s seat, operation handle to safety protection and other aspects of the detailed design. The final completed unmanned lawn mower can reduce the labor intensity of workers, the operator can monitor the operation of the unmanned lawn mower in the monitoring room, and one person can monitor multiple units at the same time.
Performance Design: While meeting user requirements, LKK Design also optimizes the performance of the weeder. They improved the weeding effect and efficiency of the weeding machine by improving the material and shape of the blade and optimizing the power and speed of the machine. At the same time, they also pay attention to the energy efficiency of the weeder, through the optimization of the design and the selection of efficient motors and other measures to reduce energy consumption.
Environmental Design: In the design, LKK Design also pays attention to the embodiment of environmental protection concepts. They minimize the environmental impact of the weeder by using environmentally friendly materials, optimizing energy use, and reducing noise and emissions. At the same time, they also take into account the recycling and disposal of waste parts to achieve the recycling of resources.

Prototyping and testing: After the product Design phase, LKK Design collaborated with Hongdu to build a prototype for field testing. During the testing process, they simulated various practical use scenarios and conducted rigorous testing and evaluation of the prototype. According to the test results, they further optimized and improved the design scheme. Improve product design and performance through continuous testing and improvement.
Production preparation: After many prototype tests and improvements, Hongdu started the production preparation work. LKK Design provided production process guidance and material suggestions to assist Hongdu in setting up the production line and ensuring the smooth running of the production process. At the same time, they also strictly monitored and managed the environmental impact of the production process to ensure the quality and environmental performance of the products.
Quality control: In the production process, Hongdu Company has implemented strict quality control measures. Through the quality control of raw materials, the production process, the monitoring and testing of finished products, etc., they ensure that every weeder delivered by the factory meets the company’s quality standards. Project Background

In the ever-evolving landscape of educational technology, finding innovative tools that ignite children’s curiosity and foster critical skills has become paramount. TTS Group, a renowned UK-based educational products provider, approached LKK Design with a vision to create an all-in-one solution that revolutionizes the way children learn about programming and robotics. The goal was to design Oti-Bot, a child-friendly robot that not only simplifies coding but also integrates AI, creativity, and hands-on learning experiences into the classroom.

Solution: Introducing Oti-Bot

Oti-Bot, conceived as a collaborative effort between LKK Design and TTS Group, embodies the future of computing education. This revolutionary tool combines programmable caterpillar tracks, a line follower, a color sensor, and direct internal storage capabilities, enabling students to document their work and progress seamlessly. At its core, Oti-Bot fosters computational thinking, problem-solving, and logical reasoning skills, directly supporting the UK Computing Curriculum at Key Stages 1 and 2.

 Project Flow

1. Industrial Design

LKK Design kicked off the project by immersing themselves in user research, studying the needs and preferences of both children and educators. Based on insights gathered, the team crafted an aesthetically pleasing and child-friendly design that incorporates playful elements while maintaining a professional and educational appearance. The robot’s interchangeable tummies, each designed for a different learning activity, added a layer of versatility and engagement.

2. Mechanical Design

The mechanical design phase focused on creating a sturdy yet agile frame that could withstand the rigors of classroom use while enabling smooth movements and interactions. Special attention was given to the caterpillar tracks, ensuring they could navigate various surfaces and enhance the robot’s maneuverability.

3. Hardware Development

The hardware development team sourced high-quality components for the color sensor, camera, and motor systems, ensuring reliability and precision. Integrating these components into the robot’s compact body required meticulous engineering and careful placement to maintain balance and functionality.

4. Firmware Development

The firmware was designed to be updatable, allowing Oti-Bot to stay current with technological advancements. It also facilitated seamless communication between hardware components, ensuring smooth operation and responsiveness.

5. Software Development

A user-friendly block-based programming environment was developed, accessible via a free app, making coding accessible and enjoyable for children of all skill levels. The app also allowed for live streaming and AI-powered face recognition, enhancing the interactivity and engagement between students and Oti-Bot.

6. Prototype Making & Testing

Multiple prototypes were created and rigorously tested for durability, functionality, and user experience. Feedback from educators and children was incorporated into iterative designs, refining Oti-Bot until it met all expectations.

7. Mold Development

With the final design approved, LKK Design collaborated with manufacturing partners to develop injection molds for mass production. This process ensured the quality and consistency of each Oti-Bot unit.

8. Certification

To ensure safety and compliance with international standards, Oti-Bot underwent rigorous safety testing and obtained the necessary certifications, including CE marking for the European market.

9. Pilot Production

A small-scale production run was conducted to validate the manufacturing process and assess quality control measures. This step helped identify and address any potential issues before mass production.

10. Mass Production

With all preparations in place, Oti-Bot entered mass production, ready to be distributed to schools and educational institutions across the UK and beyond.

2. In the service scenarios of robots, the character experience that the service robot brings to the user is the most important. LKKER SCM team believes that the most important element of service robot is the elegant service posture, which gives rise to the A4 waist.

3. The concept of A4 waist poses great challenges to the engineering implementation and structural design. How to make the robot chassis more stable and easier to pass through? How to ensure the overall stability of the product? How to make the rotating mechanism more smooth? LKKER SCM has succeeded to come up with the best implementation plans for all such challenges.

Uface is a face recognition system based on the uni-ubi algorithm originally developed by Uni-Ubi. The main feature of this product is that it can realize the functions of attendance registration, visitor registration and access control under face recognition mode by pre-recording individual name, image and other information. The recognition speed is shortened from 3-5s to 0.01s, and the recognition rate is up to 97%, which is much higher than other similar products. One can view and modify user data at any time through the APP and cloud back-end, as well as generate attendance and visitor lists. It enables intelligent experience in new office scenarios.

Solutions & Goal

The hardware prototype function of this product has been basically realized. The problem is how to ensure that the LED lamp panel and the face shell 2 do not shade at close range. We improved the mold structure to ensure reduction of design, added texturing to the upper and lower mold faces of shell 2 and 0.25% frosted powder to the translucent PC materials to achieve a diffusion rate of 95%+, and a light transmittance between 85% and 93%. By effectively adjusting the diffusivity and light transmittance, we solved thes problem perfectly.

2.There are 20 white LED inside with soft lighting and the human body light sensor effectively brightens the skin color to ensure same clarity even in the evening and rainy days.

1. Xinjiang – a region with sharp differences in temperature – is one of the key sales regions of this product.
