Small Bee invites LKKER SCM and Alibaba Cloud to join the innovation project of the beekeeping box to explore an AioT smart beekeeping business model and establish a complete digital ecological smart beekeeping system.

LKK has been a long-term partner with Alibaba Cloud. Before the Small Bee AioT smart beekeeping box project, LKK portfolio company Small Design, has already successfully cooperated with Alibaba Cloud to launch World First Artificial Intelligence Logo Design System, which replaces the traditional design model.

LKKER SCM is responsible for redesigning the AioT smart beekeeping box including industrial design as well as mechanical design while Alibaba Cloud contributes to the AioT technology and data management platform of the beekeeping box. The built-in sensors can monitor and record key data including weighing, temperature and humidity, and bee activity, knowing the entry and exit of bees, knowing whether the beehives are full of honey, and finally gathering the data in each production area which is convenient for tracing the origin of honey.

LKKER SCM leads the production of the AioT smart beekeeping box. The first batch quantity is 500 pcs. The beekeeping box was widely placed in Mo Island Beekeeping Farm in Feb 2019, turning the farm into the world’s first digital AioT smart beekeeping farm that allows bees to live in fully intelligent beehives.

It is the most competitive power equipment manufacturer and system solution provider with the strongest comprehensive supporting capacities in China.  This product is a safe and reliable bus battery box installed via robot and is easy to install, repair, unlock.

Solutions & Goal

1.Considered the error of manufacturing; the battery box cannot have activity allowance when fixed in the battery rack and in the meantime should ensure that the mechanism works at the dead point. The design team decided to put a layer of elastic gum on the contact surface of the locking plate and lock sleeve to leave certain amount of allowance when the locking plate locked in and ensure the elastic gum have small activity when the battery swings under stress.

2.In order to ensure the locking plate can be smoothly inserted and the power of the robot to turn the key is not too strong, the contact surface of the locking plate and the elastic gum are curved; besides, in order to reduce the torque of the robot rotation, the design team considered to use a bearing for the colonnette to ensure smooth rotation. The inner bore of the bearing is considered to be tightly fitted, or a snap ring is to be added at the top of the bearing for axial positioning.

3.The fan outlet is designed with a round hole, and the fan itself has a filter screen. The appearance is not ugly, and the processing difficulty is reduced.

4.The battery rack is made into tray type, with the two sides remaining as short as possible. The left and right lock sleeves and the left and right guide wheels are directly mounted on the square steel at the bottom.

Achievements

The standardized design of the battery box allows it to be used in various electric buses and buses; automatic servo tracks the vehicles to change the battery, which reduces the requirements for drivers. Bus drivers are only required to drive directly into the lanes for battery replacement; high-speed mechanical vision positioning battery box replacement allows replacement of multiple sets of battery box at the same time; centralized control of intelligent battery replacement allows local and remote control and unmanned replacement, thereby greatly reducing staffing.

The battery-rent mode allows the vehicle to be separated from the battery and reduces the cost of the user’s purchase, and is beneficial to the promotion of the electric vehicle. Centralized management and maintenance of the battery as well as the stagger utilization extend battery life. The promotion of electric vehicles has significant social benefits.

1.Focus on simplicity in design to come up with a special “slimming plan”. The backbone shape not only enhances the streamlined aesthetics, but also minimizes the weight and takes fineness to extremes. The mechanism is the appearance and the appearance is also the mechanism. 3.In order to ensure the overall slimness and lightness, the surrounding bosses are built relatively independently to avoid adding the weight and visual complexity. Make use of hard lines to achieve visual integrity.

1.Generally, three ways of operation should be available for the doctors, one is a remote control, the other is machine button control, and the third is to quickly lift and stretch through the machine handle. When making an x-ray photograph for patients, the doctor may need to adjust the device repeatedly to achieve a photographic angle. Therefore, the very complicated adjustment requirements are one of the biggest challenges in this design.

2.LKKER SCM starts from the convenience of the doctor’s use and combines the product performance to deliver a reversible geometry design. It simplifies the operation of the doctor and improves work efficiency.

3.It allows horizontal axis tilt mode, bed mode, and low mode. The doctor can perform basic operations by screen, handle, and manual operation.

4.Meanwhile, it allows multi-angle rotation including vertical axis rotation, horizontal rotation via the button at the bottom, and horizontal flip. The inward design of the control knob allows easy push of the knob and provides a comfortable experience when the detector moves up and down.

LKKER SCM team helped TierTime redefine the target buyers and product application scenarios. The product is targeted at the market segments of the education industry and studio scenes, which presents new opportunities to help the customer avoid the Red Ocean competition. We helped the customer with design research, brand logo design, product design and the design of the second generation home printer.

Solutions & Goal

1.Redesigned the brand image for TierTime and integrated the image into the product to create distinctive features; LKKER SCM redesigned the brand logo image for the TierTime 3D printer and integrated the image into the whole product design. The technology-matching stylish design not only reveals a sense of high-tech but also is elegantly accessible.

2.Placed emphasis on the detailed design, reduced product cost, solved the problem of better product use; One-piece design of built-in tray is convenient for operation. Easy-to-remove print tray allows easy residue disposal after printing. The printer is directly connected to the USB interface of computer, saving the inconvenience of importing model. The integral design is a breakthrough to the regular box printers and increases the vitality of the product.
