Jia Wei KK "Like Flowers in the Wild" Singapore's first exhibition grand opening

On July 25, 2024, Jia Wei KK's solo art exhibition "Like Flowers in the Wild" was grandly opened in Singapore, co-presented by Singapore Linda Art Center, artist Jia Wei KK and Linda Ma, chairman of Linda Art Center, brought wonderful sharing, and many distinguished guests attended and witnessed.

This exhibition, the first of its kind in Singapore, features the latest paintings and sculptures by artist Chia Wei KK, as well as a large-scale art installation with more than 800,000 LEGO ® particles created in collaboration with LEGO ® Certified Master Jiang Shenghui.

In the opening speech, Linda Ma, chairman of Linda Art Center, gave the first speech. She spoke highly of Jia Wei KK's works and expressed her best wishes for the success of the exhibition.

Subsequently, Jia Wei KK shared the theme, elaborated on the creative concept of "like flowers in the wild", and shared his own artistic creation process and sentiment. He said that "Ru" represents the eternal life, "flower" symbolizes the unique world of each person, "in" means the eternal focus and moment, and "wild" reflects the vitality of free growth.

Jia Wei KK's artistic creation process is full of challenges and breakthroughs. Since 2004, he has been constantly exploring in the field of commercial aesthetics. The birth of "Flower in the Wild" is the accumulation and precipitation of the artist's exploration in the field of aesthetics for many years, and also a vivid portrayal of his self-healing in the trough of life and constantly seeking breakthroughs and rebirth.

A little girl with X-shaped eyebrows, no ears, nose, eyes, and a smart body is the main image of Jia Wei KK art - "like flowers". In his pen, or squinting, or laughter, or anger, the ever -changing she does not conceal her inner emotions, like our original purest appearance, so sincere and hot. She can travel unrestricted in the sea of ​​flowers, rice fields, and oceans, and can also change forms to travel in imaginary or virtual Spaces. Jia Wei KK has repeatedly emphasized that a very important underlying logic and requirement for his own creation is to become a "universal" artist. "I'm looking forward to find these universal touchpoints in the long process of art, without cultural barriers, without social class, without age gap, and really reaching every type of person."
